| Palmitoyl pentapeptide-4 is a small, highly specific biologically active peptide which conjugates long chain fatty acid to improve skin penetration and skin affinity. Its structure is related to the precursor of collagen Type I (or procollagen Type I). It has been reported to stimulate the production of elastin, fibronectin, glucosaminoglycan and collagens (specifically Types I, III and IV), support of the extracellular matrix, and wound healing. It can be incorporated in various anti-wrinkle cosmetic formulations such as emulsions, gels, essence, eye cream, etc. |
